Another Great Marketplace Monday!!!
Every Monday, is Marketplace Monday here on the farm. It is a time to share the wonderful creativity and skill of the people of the Etsy artisans group, the Olde Farmhouse Gathering. It is a fun and caring group, and often it does seem as if we are sitting on the porch, sipping tea and sharing thoughts, ideas and just being friends.
So this morning, sitting here on the porch, I am featuring wonderful wares from Cave Creek Studio.

Enjoy your cup of tea and take some time to enjoy a conversation regarding this fun Prim shop.
1. What is the name of your Etsy shop and why did you choose that name?
I chose Cave Creek for my shop name because we live in an area of KY that has a lot of caves, and Cave Creek itself is very close to our home. It also seemed to fit well with the primitive style.
2. How long have you been on Etsy?
I opened my first Etsy store (which I still have) in March 2008, but my Cave Creek store is new. I opened it in Feb. 2010.
3. What type of items do you offer?
Cave Creek Studio offers primitive and folk art dolls, witches, make-do's, and ornies, all made by me. I also feature handmade bags and wristlets in historic and country fabrics - a crossover from my LauraOh! Designs handbag shop.
4. How long have you been crafting?
Practically my whole life. My parents owned a fabric store while I was growing up, and I've been sewing for half a century!
5. Who or What inspires you?
Almost anything can inspire me. I love looking at work done by talented artisans. I observe things in Nature and I'm always people watching and paying attention. Sometimes I have no clue whatsoever where the inspiration comes from.
6. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
I'm really having fun creating some Halloween witches, and I think its hard to name just one favorite. I think my favorite is usually the item I'm working on at the moment. Hmmm - that can get complicated because I often have more than one going. You know, I just don't know the answer to this question!
7. Other places where you can be found (Ebay, webstore, blog)
I have just launched a new website: http://cavecreekprimitives.com, and I have a blog at http://cavecreekstudio.blogspot.com.
